Hastings Utilities
During the summer of 2008, the city of Hastings, Minnesota upgraded it's
aging underground utility system. Pember Construction contracted
Rock Removal Resources to trench through the hard rock layers under
the city so the new sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water mains could be
placed.
Rock Removal Resources brought in their new 150,000 pound, 440
horsepower Tesmec M5 for the project. The crew trenched an average
of 800 feet per day at a depth of 14 feet.
